Motorbikes Sale

What is your opinion about the launch of Yamaha Superbikes in India pricing more than Rs. 10 Lacs.?

Yamaha Motor India is all set to launch its international range of bikes in India like R1 (1000 CC) & MT-01 (1700 CC)... The price of these bikes will be between 10-15 lacs... Is the market for these bikes is really existing in India or Yamaha is too optimistic to penetrate the youths of the country??? Please comment.......

  1. you gotta realize that theres a following in every country. and as gas prices keep climbing worldwide you'll see more bikes out there.
  2. after dhoom, boom, zoom there are many mobike crazy cash rich spolied kids on indian block to pay for killer bikes
  3. Yes, wait and see for other manufactures too..
  4. Oh yes,i had read in BIKE mag. I think,it is Yamaha's only strategy to increase its sales,& regain lost ground. All they could manage was Gladiator,Alba, crux & g5 over the past 1year or so..thus to import their higher capacity bikes was their only way out. Well,Bajaj,Hero honda & TVS are far ahead in this rat race..yamaha doesnt even have a full fledged 150 machine, which is considered to be a basic performance machine. What we see now & then is yamaha gladiator's pics on mags here & there with a poster of Hollywood movies like die hard,etc,... Whats the link b/w a movie & a 125cc bike?? Yamaha rx100s are now a thing of the past..& they seem2b clinging 2that glorious past 4ever..?? About the bigger bikes..I think those who can afford ,can opt for it..u can get a HYUNDAI VERNA at that price.. The import duties has actually has increased the overall prices of the bikes. With, low ground clearance,&the nature of the Indian roads i feel these bikes will be reluctant to move...?? The fuel efficiency is on the lower side.. Even cars running on diesel gives more mileage than them. Actually wud have been gr8 had yamaha started its shift in performance segment with a 150 bike(remember in th auto expo'06-GLADIATOR??)& followed it up with a 250 bike(FAZER250-rumours?).. Seems Yamaha still doesnt know what the People, the riders of India need.Besides, that with the amount of top speeds those bikes can do..i think the accidents graph will soar like never before... Like it used 2happen during olden times..Foreigners come 2 INDIA rake in the moolah n depart..perhaps this is what LL happen in the future,also.....
  5. I think that Yamaha is just trying to re-launch their brand image in India by bringing these bikes, and its not like they will be losing anything because they aren't investing anything, these bikes will completely be imported so there's no risk involved for the company. There's definitely market for these bikes because with the ever increasing quality of roads (especially the Golden Quadrilateral) people will not hesitate to purchase such bikes.
  6. hey u! dont think jsf of u ! there r some ppl who can buy such bikes!! if u think u can buy too then go for it!! orelse leave it!!
