Best and fastest way to get a sportsbike?

Im looking in getting a sportsbike soon. I currently reside in CA. What are some steps I need to go through to be riding legally. Is it possible to buy a motorcycle w/o an M-license?

5. You may buy and register a sports bike without the proper license to ride it. I haven't had an endorsement for 5 years. I do get a ticket when I get puled over, but they usually let me go on the speeding as a result. Six of one half dozen of the other. Good luck.
6. Since you are required to have, and show proof of, insurance to register a motorcycle in California you will need a motorcycle license. You have to show your motorcycle endorsement to the insurance company in order to get the insurance anyway. Just because you can buy it doesn't mean you can ride it. The fastest way to start riding is to schedule an appointment with the DMV for a riding test. Go borrow a buddie's bike (if he won't lend it to you he's trying to tell you something...) and complete the test. The DMV riding test is very basic and easy but if it's your first time you will still have a hard time. Nothing beats the MSF rider training course even though you have to wait for it and it costs $$ and takes all weekend. Don't kid yourself, even a "small" 600cc sport bike has tremendous power, enough to blow away every and any car on the road today. If you don't know how to handle that kind of power (through skill and practice, not by confidence) then take your time and start out slower.
