What sportsbike is fast at a good price?

  1. Go shop at a honda dealer, I think you will be pleased with the bike.
  2. Hey I ride a crusier. However, I work with several guys that ride sportbikes. The overall opinion is go with a honda CBR 1000. If you have never rode before maybe step down until ready. The Honda seems to be more reliable.
  3. They are ALL fast, and it's the rider's skill that makes them that way. Any gay, down syndrome monkey can twist a throttle, and you see a lot of them on the streets with chicken strips wider than my hand. No skill, no fast.
  4. The Honda 919 is as fast as the fastest 600's, yet costs less and is cheaper to insure.
  5. They are all fast, and when you compare the speed of even a 'small' 600cc motorcycle to a car, you're going to pay thousands less. So if you're wanting to purchase speed, no sportbike is a bad selection. It usually comes down to your choice of style, and brand name. If you're goal is 186mph. Then you can purchase a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 for about 12,000 dollars, or you can purchase a Chevrolet Corvette for about 50,000 dollars... see what I'm getting at? Almost all of your 600cc motorcycles have top speeds over 150mph, some closer to 160mph. Most of which are in the 9,000 dollar price range. Most of your 1000cc motorcycles can hit close to 170mph and most are with in a few hundred dollars of $10,000. And for a few hundred more than that, you can purchase a Suzuki Hayabusa, or a Kawasaki ZX-14 and hit an electronically limited 186mph (both bikes are capable of faster speeds, but have self-imposed speed restrictions). This covers your Japanese bikes (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki). The other brands (Ducati, Aprilia, etc...) are usually costlier and not as fast (people by them for the heritage, and prestige), but still very fast!
