What oil should i use in off road motorbikes?

I am starting to buy biked from people in the woods near me (im only a teenager), doing them up a bit, and selling them on for a small profit but not sure what oil to use in them. Is it different for each bike because i know someone that can get me a lot of 10w40 oil for free from a garage he works at? thanks

1. you should use motor cycle oil, there are additives in it for the gear box that you will not find in conventianal motor oil. as far as weight use what is reccommended for the particular bike
