Question about electric scooters/bikes with peddles? Okay, I do not know that much about electric scooters/bikes. However, with the raising cost of fuel I am looking into purchasing one. The ones that I have been looking at say they are electric but have peddles. How do these bikes work? Do you have the option to peddle or do you have to peddle? If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it!!

Electric scooter or electric bike? I would like to have an electric scooter or an electric bike. The scooters I like are the Ezip 500, and the Ezip 750. They both can go about 17mph with my weight. The ezip 500 only has an 8 mile range. The Ezip 750 has a 12 mile range but is more expensive. Information for building a fast, efficient Electric Motorcycle? I have recently seen the Vetrix Electric Scooter capable of 0 to 50 in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 68mph. I then saw the KillaCycle. top speed of 158mph and a 0 to 60 of 0.97 seconds, now thats fast! I then wondered why any company has not made an electric motorbike that looks like any other conventional motorbike, as fast or almost as fast as any other motorbike, just something capable of 80-90 mph so you can happily use it on the motorways.... yes, the speed limits 70, but you'de be stuck behind a lorry all the time if it maxed at that! Basically I am interested in a little project to build a little run around electric bike to get me from A to B as fast as any other bike (legally) could. I'm hoping you could purchase an old motorbike and strip out all the engine, etc to modify and replace it with all electric components.

How do I remove the sprocket from a Schwinn scooter's Currie electric motor? It has 2 holes on either side of the sprocket's shim that goes all the way through. There doesn't appear to be any allen screws, grub screws or roll pins. And also i have a 750 watt 36v electric motor from a schwinn s750 scooter. i plan on using the front cogs to attach the motor to, but which should i use- 1. connect the motor to the larger cog and use the smaller to drive the rear wheel? or- 2. connect the motor to the smaller cog and use the larger one to run the rear wheel? it will be attached to a 24" mountain bike. Lets take it back a few years, lets say the late 1700's. In 1773 John Hancock organized a boycott for tea sold by the British East India Company. If I can remember correctly the British destroyed tea crates that were on the Boston Harbor. After this occured the British raised import taxes, causing the American colonist to have a boycott. The British company lost over 300,000 sales that year, causing debt. If you dont see my point, pretty much what Im trying to say is if we boycott against all fuel companies,they will lose an enormous amount of sales and be forced to dramatically lower fuel prices. All we need is the help of everyone who cares about this. You want low fuel prices? stop using Gas Stations and find a non-fuel sort of transportation (Bicycles,Electric bikes,Electric scooters,etc.) HELP
