Giant Electric Bikes Knowledge Base

How do I diagnose/fix my lafree electric bike? It will start and run fine for about three miles, then it shuts down. It is an oldie. The bike is a Lafree (Giant Dealer), and it is about 15 years old. I am working at a bike shop and money isn't the issue for fixing this bike, the customer is willing to pay what it costs. The batteries have just been replaced.
What is a good electric or gas scooter to get? im about 20 minuets away from everything im suppose to go to.(school, work, the gym, rugby practice , etc. i know i can take a bike but doing that everyday and 6 in morning would just send me back into using a giant car to get everywhere. ooh and does anyone know a good place that could give me a motor that i could put on my mountain bike? i know those are hard to find and make so thats why im going to stick with a scooter for now. does anyone know good reliable scooters to get?
Good entry level road bike for about 500? What is a good entry level road bike for about 500 dollars? I'm new to road bikes and don't want to dish over 1k for a Giant or Trek. I just want a durable one for about 500, just for regular commuting. I was looking at the Cadillac Electric Blue CTS Road Bike for 400 on amazon.com. Since I don't really know anything about road bikes, is this a good starter road bike? Any other recommendations? Thanks! Ok, I'm a very small guy. I'm like 5'5.5" and around 5'7" with shoes on. Would I but the small for people up to 5'6" or M for people 5'7"-5'10"? I'm considering one of the entry level bikes on bikesdirect.com The forge CTS does look pretty cool. So i've think I narrowed it down to the forge cts or the dawes 1500 http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/lt1500.htm. I would prefer a bike with tiagra instead of sora, but I have a pretty strict limit of 500 dollars. Which bike is better? http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/lt1500.htm

Go kart questions and ideas? i have a go kart with a 5hp briggs. it runs excelent. but i have some few questions and ideas. i have a electric scotter and has 2 giant batteries. i was thinking maybe if i take those batteries and mount them on the back and power headlights and stuff with them and then plug it into the charger and night and charge the battery. i dunno if that will work or not. also i was thinking about taking a gear shifter off a bike so that when you are going in the go kart you can like put it into gear 1 and go slower but have more power and to go fast put it in like 7. i dunno if that will work but i thought it would be a great idea if you are trying to get up a hill and need more power or need to go faster. THANKS!!!
