Would a new pit bike 125 motor fit in an old yamaha motorbike? I am looking for a old 1980 yamaha RX125 a motor, time is not on my side. If i cannot find a RX125 or similar motor in time. Is it possible to fit one of those new pitbike engine onto the bike with some engine mount modification?

I am having problems with my motorbike YAMAHA CT1-175 Can anyone help? I was given this 175 yamaha a month ago I have cleaned the carby and reset the float, it has a new spark plug and plenty of spark, idles lousy and 1. is now extremely hard to start. 2. only runs in gear for a short distance then dies. 3. spits fuel into the air filter (completely soaks it) I didnt know anything machanical about bikes befor i got this and its becoming a headache, can anyone help?

Are racing style motorbikes comfortable for everyday riding? I am about to buy a motorbike and I prefer the handling, style and power of a racing motorbike - ie, Honda CBR600 or Yamaha R6 or Suzuki GSXR. However I plan to mainly use my bike for everyday riding. Are these types of bikes uncomfortable to use for this purpose, and would I be better off getting a bike where I can sit more upright for everyday use?

why yamaha RXZ motor bike consumes more 2t oil? i got yamaha RXZ motorbike it consume more 2t oil, can some one answer how to rectify this problem, the engine was just overhauled, do i need to change 2t pumb? Who wants to buy the best value motorbike in this history of motorbikes? Probably not the right forum, and probably going to get complaints, but hey! Yamaha Diversion 900 for sale. 1995, but garaged from new and still less than 20,000 miles. That's what comes from spending all your bleedin time in Afghanistan and Iraq!! The bike is in good nick, with new tyres and new exhaust. It's been regularly serviced (FSH), and comes complete with a luggage rack and two big Givi panniers. What else? Oh, yes, heated grips, trickle charger for the battery, Datatool alarm and Datatagged. And of course it has a hassle-free shaft drive. I'll even throw in a tankbag for free. I live in Portsmouth/Southampton area of the South coast (UK) and will only be around for a couple more weeks before heading back to Iraq. Main reason for sale is emigration next year to Australia. I'm looking for £1,500, but to be honest am more concerned with seeing the old girl going to a good home. Give us a shout if you're interested.
Can you increase your motorbikes top speed without increasing engine power? I have a Yamaha YBR125 (125cc) and can't increase the power of the engine otherwise I wont legally be allowed to drive it, I've gotten 65mph out of it and was wondering if I could get it to at least 70mph?

Question about Streetfighting a Yamaha XJ600s motorbike? I am trying to turn a 1993 XJ 600 s into a street fighter motorbike and i would like to ask two questions. 1) I'd Like to fit an R1 fuel tank as the shape of the tank is very appealing to me and my question is will any yamaha tank be adjustable to any yamaha frame such as the XJ 600 s? if not then what would be the necessary steps to make it fit? 2) i would also like to have a single swing arm fitted on therefore is there any yamaha single swing arm that can be ideal to fit straight onto my frame? I would also like to have a bigger tire on the back and believe that most swing arms come in a standard size 190 tires so if i was to have anything larger than that what would the necessary steps be?!?!?!?

Yamaha Virago Street motorbike owners, power boost? I have a Virago 535 cc twin V-engine 1999, my question is, how can i boost it's power? any advice about valves, carb, spark plugs, fuel system, what? i thought these bastards could do over 160 km/h mine never reached this figure!! i have another bike it's only a 200 cc racer maneuvers very well but no much power, so the 535 is my only chance to reach higher speeds, thanks in advance

Yamaha YZF 600 R, Doesn't not get the pick up in second or higher gears.? My Motorbike doesn't get pick up after first gear. It goes well in first gear but as soon as i switch into second gear it slows down, when i switch it to third gear, it gets even slower, forth is even worser. What type of license do you need to drive a motorbike, example, a Yamaha R6. I hold a full drivers license? is this ok or is there another type of license i need to get?? How do you know if another motorbike engine fits your motorbike? I have a 1980 Yamaha RX125 with a non functioning motor. Yamaha FJR-AS on an Automatic Licence? I have an automatics-only bike licence. I've had a Honda Silverwing 600 scooter for three years and want something faster, but don't want the hassle of doing the test all over again with a 'normal' motorbike. How can i convert my regular motorcycle into offroading motorcycle? I own a Yamaha RX 100 and would like to convert it to and off-roading motorbike. I may also be entering it in local rallys and all. Would like any advice that would help me modify the bike into a good off-roader.
